Welcome to our bach, Recently built (Christmas 2012), she boasts open-plan living and can accommodate 6-8 people.

It is situated on the Purangi Road, about 300 metres past the Cooks Beach turn off, and is away  from the main township, yet only a short walk or bike ride to the shops (dairy, café, liquor store, real estate agents), a 5-minute walk to the beach and only a few minutes to Ferry Landing where you can catch a ferry to Whitianga.
Cooks Beach hosts the area's only boat ramp (no tractor or FWD needed) and there is plenty of boat parking space on the property if you have your own boat. We have a fish cleaning bench so you can process your day's catch.

The bach is fully insulated and warm all year round. The bathroom is modern with a lovely shower. We have solar powered hot water, with the option to boost with electric power if needed. Recently in front, a deck was added with built in seats where you can watch the kids (young and old) play lawn cricket, pentaque, etc. The front lawn is a substantial size.

Only a few things aren’t quite finished in our bach (it’s all a work in progress) –  currently we have concrete floors with mats in the main living areas. Most recently we installed a fully equipped new kitchen. There is also a 4 burner BBQ where we do most of our cooking in the summer.

So, she’s simple and homely and perfectly functional. If you’re looking for a 4-5 star place, then this is not your pick. But if you're looking for a cost-effective relaxed place to unwind and enjoy the local area and are not too fussy or pernickity, then this is your place!
